Palpeur A Pression 250G

Probe: This is the essential tool for learning how to locate auricular points. Thanks to the characteristic grimace, painful points can be quickly identified. Ideally, this should then be confirmed using the AGISCOP DT.

Palpeur A Pression 250G

A probe is a stylus equipped with a spring-loaded shaft designed to apply varying degrees of pressure to the areas of the skin being examined.

There are four probes with different pressure levels:

• Black: 130 g (essential in auriculotherapy)

• Blue: 250 g (essential for auriculotherapy)
• Orange: 400 g
• Beige: 650 g

These pressures are achieved when the spring-loaded rod is extended halfway.

PROBES & AURICULOTHERAPY

In auriculotherapy, the probes are used to locate pressure-sensitive points on the outer ear.

The auricular examination is performed in two stages: palpation of both ears to locate a painful area, followed by the identification of painful points using a probe.

This mechanical detection using the probe is based on the principle of pain response; between 130 g and 250 g, the characteristic sign of a grimace is clearly observed.

Use

:
Holding the probe perpendicular to the skin, the practitioner slowly searches for the point by applying successive pressures, allowing the patient to indicate their reaction with each application.

The stirrup-shaped base of the probe helps identify cartilaginous ridges, which are useful in locating certain ear points.

PROBES & AURICULOMEDICINE

The use of the probe in auriculomedicine is different.
The goal is not to detect pressure-sensitive points, but rather to stimulate the auricle with the probe to analyze the reactions of the V.A.S.

The probes thus allow for the study of reactions at three tissue levels:

• deep: 250–400 g
• medium: 130–250 g
• superficial: 60–130 g
