In detail
ASP Original Solo Needle PackDESCRIPTION
The ASP is an innovative device designed to implant a small needle into the auricle. It consists of a single-use applicator that ensures the needle is inserted with great ease and excellent precision, while guaranteeing complete sterility.
The ASP is available in three versions:
- the ASP Classic
NICKEL-FREE STAINLESS STEEL needle
This sterile, single-use needle has proven its effectiveness in AURICULOTHERAPY treatments for over 30 years.
- the ASP Gold
Steel needle coated with a layer of pure GOLD (99.7%).
The ASP Gold is particularly suitable for use in patients with allergies.
- The ASP Titanium
Solid medical-grade 4 TITANIUM needle
This ASP, which offers the highest level of biocompatibility, is the preferred choice for treating conditions requiring long-term implantation and is strongly recommended for high-risk patients: those with diabetes, immunodeficiency, or multiple allergies.
Stimulation Magnet
The injector for the Classic and Gold ASPs features a bipolar magnet at its tip, specially designed to periodically reactivate the effect of the implanted needle. The injector equipped with the magnet can be given to the patient for this purpose.
Holding Pads
The adhesive pads supplied with the ASPs are made with a microporous backing and a hypoallergenic adhesive. They are used as needed to hold the needle in place (at the edges).
USE
1 - Disinfect the patient’s ear.
2 - Check that the blister pack is intact and remove the injector from its packaging.
3 - Position the tip of the injector over the treatment site and press down perpendicular to the skin’s surface. The characteristic “click” indicates that the ASP is properly positioned.
4 - If necessary, protect the needle with an adhesive patch.
5 - Once the needle is in place, it can be stimulated by the injector’s magnet (ASP Classic and Gold models only). Place the black disc opposite the needle tip and rotate the injector back and forth. One rotation per second for about 30 seconds.
6 - The needle usually falls out on its own after a few days, but it can be removed using small tweezers after 2 weeks.
INDICATIONS
Chronic pain, mental disorders, chronic functional disorders, addiction disorders.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
